Slide background

Urogynaecology involves the assessment and management of female pelvic floor dysfunction which encompasses problems involving the:

  • Bladder: urinary incontinence, poor bladder emptying, recurrent urinary tract infections, bladder pain
  • Vagina: prolapse, sexual dysfunction
  • Bowel: faecal incontinence, constipation

Management of these problems involves correctly identifying the underlying cause(s) and then instituting treatment based on sound clinical evidence from our Urogynaecologist in Melbourne. This usually takes the form of conservative treatments first, before moving on to medication or surgery.
